It’s a great day at work when I get to spend it watching a well-tuned road crew set the PA and lighting for a major tour.

While “CMac” in Canandaigua, NY (‘tween Rochester and Syracuse) is one of the smaller stops on most summer tours, it’s still a great place to hear a show. Set into a hill side, the place seats 5K under the roof and 10K out on the lawn, and the view is good from most anywhere. So, before the crowd arrived for the 8/24 show, I hung out the Audio Systems Engineer and Crew Chief, John Mills, just to see how one of these shows comes together. What took John and his crews nearly 10 hours to accomplish is compressed here to under 4 minutes.
