From my first gig with my first band I was very interested in sound production. Whether I was playing a club or out on the road, I wanted to make certain that the audience was hearing the band and vocals as sonically perfect as possible. My passion for audio led me into a decade long career as a studio engineer in Los Angeles while still playing the LA club scene. As my expertise in sound developed, I found myself on the technical-reference journalism end of audio. Shortly thereafter I started my live sound and audio installation company RioDeluxe Audio. This company became the perfect vehicle to road test all types of audio gear for dozens of different manufacturers. My quest to create the best sound possible has put me in front of or behind a mixing console for well over 3000 gigs. Along this journey I found God (actually God found me). Which has made this whole process of working sound and living more fun and certainly more interesting.
