Tour: Action (verb). This is work, really hard work.
A group of professionals travelling with a massive amount of portable, state-of-the-art, electronic equipment.
Said group travels from place to place daily (often over insane distances), setting up, operating and dismantling (for immediate transportation) of said equipment: often under both stupendously, logistically challenging conditions, severe time constraints and seemingly insurmountable odds.
Hours of work often exceed 18-24 hours per day, including travel.
Example: To the person who coined the phrase; “I’m not going to work, I’m going on tour!” You are an idiot (noun).
NEVER to be confused with the action (verb) “shop” which may result when your wife/daughter/son/girlfriend gets a hold of your cash per diem, once you’re home from “tour”.
